Description

  • Operate signal collection, processing, and analysis equipment. This includes setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment to ensure optimal performance.

  • Analyze signals from recordings or in a live environment. This involves identifying patterns, anomalies, and other relevant information within intercepted signals.

  • Collaborate with analysts throughout the Intelligence Community. This includes sharing information, coordinating efforts, and contributing to joint analysis projects.

  • Maintain awareness of analysis projects being worked on related to a particular signal. This involves staying informed about the ongoing research and understanding the larger context of the analysis.

  • Prepare complex technical reports detailing the analysis results. This includes documenting findings, providing detailed explanations, and supporting conclusions with evidence.

  • Present technical briefings on analysis findings to members of the intelligence community. This involves communicating complex technical information in a clear and concise manner, tailoring the presentation to the audience's needs and understanding.

Relevant Experience

Signal Analysis:*

  • Determine signal characteristics of waveforms or bit level necessary for the exploitation of signals of interest.

  • Perform the collection, evaluation, and documentation of recordings of new or previously unexploited data.

  • Translate analytical results into briefings to communicate signal characteristics for identification and/or exploitation.

  • Provide guidance to developers and operators on signal characteristics at the waveform or bit level necessary for signal exploitation.

Operational Support:

  • Provide analytical and operational support for tactical and strategic mission intelligence systems.

  • Maintain mission status on assigned tactical and strategic systems.

  • Perform mission planning and projections to anticipate future resource requirements to counter identified threats.

  • Develop briefing reports depicting assessment of systems availability.

  • Provide guidance to signal teams on overall project conduct.

  • Oversee the development, deployment, collection, documentation, and evaluation of recordings of new or previously unexploited signal data.

System Analysis:

  • Analyze complex system integration requirements to identify mission vulnerability targets and develop multiple scenarios to resolve all mission threats.

  • Analyze operational availability of strategic and tactical intelligence assets.

  • Translate analytical results into briefings.

Education

  • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience as a Signal Analyst supporting the IC or USG military is required.experience as a Signals Analyst Signal Analyst is required.
