Description

  • Provide day-to-day operational support, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server, storage, network devices, and mobile devices.

  • Perform Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.

  • Escalate and communicate problem status to agency management and internal customers.

  • Support the dispatch of system and hardware problems, actively participating in the resolution process.

  • Configure and manage Linux, Unix, and Windows operating systems.

  • Install and load operating system software, troubleshoot issues, and maintain system integrity.

  • Configure network components.

  • Implement operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

Work Experience

  • Provide comprehensive support for IT systems, including implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

  • Perform Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.

  • Manage the daily configuration and operation activities of IT systems.

  • Assist users with accessing and effectively utilizing IT systems.

  • Support IT systems day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices.

  • Optimize system operations and resource utilization.

  • Perform system capacity analysis and planning.

  • Provide in-depth troubleshooting for IT systems.

  • Support the escalation of issues and communicate status updates to agency management and internal customers.

  • Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets.

  • Support the dispatch system and hardware problem resolution processes, remaining involved until resolution.

  • Configure and manage Linux, Unix, and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems.

  • Install and load operating system software.

  • Troubleshoot and maintain the integrity of network components.

  • Implement operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

  • Support the design of systems, mission architecture, and associated hardware.

  • Apply working knowledge and understanding of system administration interdependencies within a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).

  • Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications, and software integration.

Relevant Experience

  • Ten (10) years of experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required

  • Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
