Description

Planning and Coordination:

  • Develop, coordinate, and integrate cyber operations plans, mitigation strategies, and tactics

  • Lead the creation of strike packages and ensure target vetting/validation

  • Contribute to exercise scenarios, plans, and documentation for training priorities

  • Participate and lead Joint Planning Groups/Teams (JPGs/OPG/OPTs) for cyber integration

  • Coordinate planning activities through international channels

Technical Expertise:

  • Leverage existing processes, tools, and technologies for operational campaigns

  • Apply operational art and design principles to cyberspace capabilities planning

  • Provide in-depth expertise for Offensive/Defensive Cyberspace Operations (OCO/DCO) policy/procedures

  • Think independently and serve as an advanced technical expert in various planning methodologies

  • Lead cyberspace operations planning objectives without supervision

Analysis and Research:

  • Conduct research on current/emerging threats to US Critical Infrastructure/Key Resources (CIKR)

  • Develop/review strategies, policies, and directives for compliance and planning integration

  • Provide input for Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs), Concepts of Operations (CONOPs), and Courses of Action (COAs)

  • Identify planning shortfalls, prioritize requirements, and adapt to changing cyberspace environments

Communication and Leadership:

  • Communicate requirements effectively and lead development working groups/meetings

  • Provide input to briefings, transitioning concepts to execution, and supporting joint operational planning

  • Contribute to joint operational planning in support of various operations (training, exercise, combat, contingency)

Work Experience

NOTE: Military Multiplier: Relevant military experience is credited as 1.25X years experience!

  • Doctoral Degree with 7 years of relevant experience

  • Master’s degree with 9 years of relevant experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 11 years of relevant experience

  • Associates degree with 13 years of experience

  • HS diploma or GED with 15 years of experience

Specialty Experience

  • External engagement/collaboration experience (e.g., participation in cross-Agency working groups, JDA, field assignments, and external customer support) is preferred

Relevant Experience

  • Must be in an area directly related to a current mission (e.g., collection, cyber and intelligence analysis) and/or a similar mission in the IC or DoD and include strategic and/or operational level planning (e.g., joint operations)

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in any field
